Friday Friday Friday!!!

This Friday at JAKE'S SPORTS BAR, in the Backroom - Lubbock's own Comic book radio show "Metropolis" presents the 2nd METROPOLIS LIVE event - CRISIS ON METROPOLIS ISLAND!!! All your favorite radio personalities will be on one stage - the perfect setting for an assassination.

Doors open at 8pm and the show starts around 9pm. So drop on by for all the comic book news and commentary you have come to love (or loathe) from the radio show. NOTE: You DO NOT have to be a comic book fan to come and enjoy.

So apparently...

...I won an award. Third place in the Professional category for the National Arts Program - city of Lubbock show. I didn't even know I was entered, and I won!! Best of all I won money!! Lol.

The painting that got the award was a little watercolor sketch that I did for my grandma for Christmas. I don't have a scan of it, otherwise I'd post it here. They took it out of my exhibit and entered it in the show on my behalf and I won!

I'm happy. I guess thats the best way to win - when you don't even know you're competing. I'm going to start not entering MORE art shows right away.

Will Terrell Art Show

I've finally been roped into doing an art show. I haven't done this in 7 or so years. I'll be exhibiting at the Lubbock Municipal Garden and Arts Center for the First Friday art trail. The center is located at 46th and University ave. I'll be in the main lobby from 6-9pm. I'll be selling prints for relatively cheap if anyone is interested in buying some of my art. Original paintings and drawings are also available. Or just come by and say Hi.
